Project spotlight: Korýtko Nursing Home, Ostrava-Zábřeh, Czech Republic
We visited the new laundry at Korýtko Nursing Home in Ostrava-Zábřeh. The laundry is equipped with Primus barrier washer-extractors.
Two zones, one direction
In this laundry, the soiled zone and the clean zone are physically separated by a wall. Soiled linen is loaded into the barrier washer-extractor on the soiled side. After the wash cycle, clean linen is unloaded on the clean side.
This one-way flow is designed to help keep soiled and clean linen apart. It supports hygienic linen processing in a care environment.
Automatic dosing for daily work
Detergent, disinfectant and fabric softener are dosed automatically. This is designed to help simplify daily work for the laundry team and to support consistent wash programs.
Daily volumes
On an average weekday, the laundry team reports processing around 800 kg of laundry. On peak days, the volume can reach up to one ton.
